Week 3

Finally it worked!

I've been pfaffing around with Flikr trying to find a downloadable picture!
This is a picture of Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria which was built by King Ludwig II. I've had a fascination with it since i was a child and finally got there a couple of years ago. This is a 1890's photochrome print depicting the front façade and surroundings, It is an amazing structure and although it's creator was nicknamed 'Mad' King Ludwig, he really was a patron of modern inventions. The construction of Neuschwanstein required the modern technology of the day, and the palace is a marvel of technological structural achievements. Steam engines and electricity, modern venting, and heating pipes, a flushing toilet and running water are all part of the structure.
So, in relation to our values ... I think this image is not only a symbol of Innovation & Engagement it would also have required huge amounts of Energy & Teamwork to get the structure built in such an unapproachable location!
